Cell.add_synapse

single_cell_parser.cell.Cell.add_synapse(secID, ptID, ptx, preType='Generic', postType='Generic')

Add a Synapse to the cell object.

Parameters:

  • secID (int) – The section ID of the synapse location.

  • ptID (int) – The point ID of the synapse location.

  • ptx (float) – The relative coordinate along the section.

  • preType (str, optional) – The presynaptic cell type. Defaults to ‘Generic’.

  • postType (str, optional) – The postsynaptic cell type. Defaults to ‘Generic’.

Returns:

The newly created synapse.
